Misty Rose Arabians is nestled in a quiet corner of Central Massachusetts on 85 acres of woodland, meadows and ponds teeming with wildlife.
The farm is named for Misty and Rose, the foundation
mares of a versatile breeding program, producing Crabbet and
Ansata-cross foals that have been sold to satisfied owners throughout
New England. We currently have standing at stud our principle
stallion, Phantom Rais, who was the subject of a feature article in
Equus Magazine.
Misty Rose Arabians offers an exciting program of Natural
Horsemanship training, which includes starting untrained horses,
finishing green horses and correcting behavioral problems. We also
offer barefoot trimming services, consultations for shows and horse
purchases and some limited boarding opportunities.
We specialize in horses that
have been abused and misunderstood. We also accept riders of all ages
for lessons in every discipline
.
Besides conventional lessons in the confines of our training ring, we
are able to give our clients diverse practical training on the
scenic trails that wind through more than 200 woodland acres
surrounding our farm. We incorporate natural horsemanship with the
fundamentals of classical dressage.
Misty Rose Arabians also conducts a schedule of training clinics year round, demonstrating Natural Horsemanship techniques with horses that have various behavioral problems
, starting horses that have never been ridden and handling horses that
need more training to be safely ridden. Most of the clinics are open
free to the public and many raise funds to benefit local charities.
